This post may be a little late since class 8 is in 45 minutes but OH WELL
I really enjoyed the work we did last class and it was experimentation for me as well as others, but I used conte (four different colours).
The first one was on a small page so the texture of the board is seen in parts of the background (which isn't necessarily a bad thing I guess).

Great work Toby! Bold and gestural, it emphasises the large forms and has good sense of contrasts. Other than that, some darker tones at the head areas could have been useful.
